The human mind is often divided into three levels based on awareness and function.

1. Conscious Mind

Definition: The part of the mind you are aware of right now.

Functions:

  • Logical thinking

  • Decision-making

  • Problem-solving

  • Awareness of surroundings

Example: Reading this text or choosing what to eat.

Small but active part of the mind.

2. Subconscious Mind

Definition: The part just below awareness that stores memories and habits.

Functions:

  • Learned behaviors

  • Emotional responses

  • Habits

  • Long-term memories

Example: Driving a familiar route without thinking about every turn.

Larger and very powerful.

3. Unconscious Mind

Definition: The deepest layer of the mind, completely hidden from awareness.

Functions:

  • Deep fears

  • Hidden desires

  • Traumatic memories

  • Instincts

Example: Feeling fear of water without remembering the past reason.

The deepest and most hidden part.
